You may have heard about “business branding” in marketing, but maybe you are wondering what is it mean literally.
Some people think brand is like business positioning, well it’s different. The main difference is position is a fluid concept. Another word, you can positioning yourself at the market as a different things. Business branding is like more patent it’s a hard core recognition. Branding is more like to following the rules because if you didn’t follow the rules people won’t recognize you. If you put pieces of your marketing, you want people to remember and recognize you. And you want to look exactly a like on everything you put out to.
The good things is you can make your own rules… the same colour, literature and etc… same logo and few flexibility as long you follow the basic rules. You can’t get to far out of line, but you can make changes as long as people were able to recognize. Business branding in your marketing have to make you feel it. A technology firm that have old style font and you can’t be thinking it’s a well improve coorporation.
Business branding is like an old coat, weapons that have been use for generation, it will plant sense of honor, fear, and wealth-anything can. There also one country flag will gave people certain feeling about their country.
Think about the message that implied you deliver. What do you want your promotion think about you? Are willing to put your firm image out there? It is your brand. When people see you as one thing, they expect the same thing from you and they get use to it.
