How to Keep in Touch with Your Customer PhotoLet me guess, your travel budget for your product is decreasing and have been cut to the minimal amount and you might spend a lot of time at home. It’s great if you don’t like traveling but it sucks that you can’t connect directly with your customer or prospect. What should the procedure do for the situation?

Emailing sounds good
This might have not the best way, cause usually your customer or prospect doesn’t like to be bother by this kind email, but it’s worth to try it won’t loose you anything  and maybe you will have a good response from some people who needed your service. Even this is the hard way to do, and there is only small chance.

How ever, an innovative product manager has discovered that a good and proper email can be deadly effective. And can build a solid and effective relation with customer, email it’s not only an internal tools but it also an external tools too.
Email can be very effective is related by the simple fact that your customer didn’t see it as a threat or spam. You can save time than waste it to arrange schedule meeting in face to face and potentially getting bombard by many question to the product and you might doesn’t have enough preparation. Besides they can choose to wipe your email if they feel it’s unnecessary.

Product manager secret to succeed email
If email is the choice of your customer, then why don’t you try to improve using it? What I mean by that is, you should spend time in front of your computer as long as you can get then you should be doing better right now.

Not all people are good at it
The first thing we like to ignore the important thing from email is the subject line. This is the most important thing on email, its part where make the email interesting to open and read, so you should not ignore this. If some one receives an email what they see and read is the subject line, from subject people will decide whether they want to read it or not. If your subject line wasn’t interesting then why they bother to read what in it.

The purpose of a subject line in email is to motivate us to open it, I find many emails with subject that doesn’t look interesting and I didn’t bother to open it. Why should I open it when what I read in the subject looks boring, and there is much chance that email is going to be deleted?
The next error is by making your email to long and lengthy. Another word you were like speaking type. Since you write for your customer you were always able to communicate, you don’t have to write like you were writing novels. Just take it short and to the point only, I’m sure if your customer interested he will reply and ask for follow up.

It is often that we write email like trash, we write without purpose and fill with crap.what we should do is ad valuable points, add content, and use it to deliver important information to our customer hand.

Is this entire means for you?
When things going hard, the first thing for the firm to do is reducing the travelling budget which use by product manager to gain customer. When this happen prepare for the worst like loosing contact with your customer.

On the contrary, what we should do is finding new effective way to still having contact with the customer even if we can’t present directly. Email is most the old tools that we ignore but still this is an effective way for not loosing contact.
This can be the dangerous tools in the wrong hand; it can be damaging your relationship with your customer. How ever it can be very effective if you know how to use it, all you need is time to think how you want to be connected with your customer and do it creatively in the shortest way then you will find a way to still connected with you most valuable assets, which is your customer.
